Choices include: Acer palmatum (several choices)Coprosma repensCornus alba ´Kesselringii´ Corylus maxima ´Purpurea´ Fagus sylvatica ´Purpurea Pendula´Pittosporum tenuifolium ´Tom Thumb.´

The above are known for their dark colored stems, a perfect addition to winter gardens, and they all sport dark colors.
