January 18, 2008, Newsletter Issue #104: Know Your Hospital Flower Rules

Tip of the Week

Sending get well flowers is a thoughtful gesture that can brighten someone's day. If the person you're wishing “get well” wishes to is in a hospital, however, you should put extra thought into the ordering process. When sending flowers to a hospital, try to provide the following information: The name of the hospitalThe name of the patientIf possible, the room number What time you would like the flowers delivered (maybe in accordance to visiting hours)

Keep in mind that most urgent care and intensive care units have “no flower” policies. Also remember that some regulate flower sizes. Your florist should know information about the local hospitals and their rules so be sure to inquire.
